WELCOME TO SCHOOL CONGRESS!
Our Story and Mission
Project Pioneer™ was created to bring forward a story that has too often been overlooked — the connection between Ulster and the foundations of early America.
This programme has been made possible through funding support connected to the USA 250 commemorations, recognising Ulster’s role in the ideas, people, and decisions that helped shape a nation.
But this is not simply about history.
It is about helping young people understand how ideas are formed, how words are chosen, and how voices shape the world around them.
Through a structured and carefully guided experience, Project Pioneer™ gives pupils the space to think for themselves, to speak with clarity, and to create something that reflects what they truly believe.
As we mark the USA 250 anniversary, the aim is not only to look back — but to recognise Ulster’s place within that story, and to equip the next generation to take their place in shaping what comes next.
The project has been made possible through funding from the Department for Communities under their USA – NI 250 Fund.

Meet Our Team
Project Pioneer™ is led by Féinics Education & Heritage Ltd. A team of educators, historians, psychologists, and practitioners committed to creating meaningful experiences for young people.
This is not a programme built on content alone. It is built on structure, care, and responsibility.
Working in collaboration with schools and educators across Northern Ireland and the United States, the team has developed a framework that allows students to engage with history as something lived - not simply learned.
We do not transfer knowledge.
We create the conditions for students to think for themselves, to question what they see, and to form views they are prepared to stand over.
The aim is not to tell young people what matters... but to give them the space, guidance, and confidence to decide that for themselves.
"Every generation must decide what matters… and find the words to protect it"
